Dining Room in the Making

Last week I posted about finishing the basement family room. If you missed it, you can read about it here. After we moved all of the living room furniture downstairs I had a big empty room left upstairs. This empty space is now becoming our new dining room. I really wanted a dining space that was light and bright, somewhere we could gather and enjoy our meal together with friends and family. DIY Decorative Ladder

Hello friends! I found a beautiful vintage quilt and two matching antique ladders at our local antique store but silly me didn't purchase them immediately. When I went back to buy them they were all sold. I still wanted a ladder to hold my growing quilt collection, so I decided to build one with scrap wood I had around. This is it!

DIY Doll House

My husband and I decided to make Abigail a doll house. I started to research plans, the first place I went was ana-white.com which is my favorite furniture builder ever (Fan girl moment). A new chapter in our lives...

My dad got sick. Well very sick, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We decided it would be best to do a humanitarian move to be close by him. The military approved the move even though we had just moved to a new location only two years earlier. But like true military folk we packed up and started searching for a new home. After some searching I found a home that was about to be listed for sale. As I explained this home to my husband and mother-in-law I could see the "she's lost her mind" look on their faces. This home sat on 13.58 acres.
