Are you wondering how you can incorporate a little color into your room without painting the walls? Do you ever look at color palettes on Pinterest and long to have that same vibe in your home? I’m bringing different color palettes to life in my continued “How To Use A Color Palette In Your Home” blog series. I will show you how to create a beautiful room using different color palettes along with some fun pieces to help you bring these colors into your own home.
THE COLOR INSPIRATION: Serene
If your dining room is a smaller space, that does not mean you need to sacrifice style. For this palette, I choose creamy family-friendly slipcovered dining chairs that will be comfortable to linger after meals have been eaten. I brought in this unique pedestal base dining table that will seat up to four people comfortably. To anchor the dining room, I added this inviting rug with tones in green, blue and beige. For a more casual vibe, layer a jute or sisal rug underneath in the next size up if your space allows.
To soften the space, I hung textured white drapes to enhance but not overwhelm the backdrop of the space. You can play with color or pattern here but I like to let my window treatment blend into the background.
I wanted to draw your eyes up from the rug to this gorgeous art piece so I hung it between the two windows. This abstract piece pulls the colors from the rug beautifully. The indented detail on this ceramic pendant light is incredible. It will give a glowing light from the top and bottom adding a cozy, intimate feeling. If you have a larger space with tall ceilings, try hanging three of these pendants at varying heights for major wow factor! A vase full of white hydrangeas was all this space needed in terms of styling. Simplicity is sometimes best!
