Abigail Amira
Our Story
Amy Bennett began her entrepreneurial journey by founding Abigail Amira LLC in 2016. After returning to the online design world, she discovered a newfound spark and a desire for change. As a dedicated mother and military spouse, she yearned for a project that offered the flexibility to balance her passions and family life. This inspiration led to the creation of her design blog, Abigail Amira, in honor of her daughter, who motivates her to reach for more each day.
In 2017, the blog blossomed into an online store featuring a curated collection of home goods and gifts. Upon relocating to a small town near her husband’s military base, Amy recognized a gap in her local shopping options and longed for more. Conversations with friends and neighbors revealed a shared sentiment, which inspired her to open a brick-and-mortar store in July 2017 that offered stylish yet affordable home décor.
Amy began considering selling market bouquets in her shop to brighten people’s days. She was fortunate to discover some fantastic local growers and distributors who helped make this dream a reality. What started as a floral hobby quickly became a significant offering, including hand-tied bouquets, event arrangements, weddings, and photography work. Amy felt incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support she received!
In 2019, Amy’s husband received orders to move to Oregon. This news was a devastating blow to her, and it was an extremely difficult decision to sell her beloved shop. After taking a short break, she began focusing on creating content for her blog, learning new skills (hello, UX Design), experimenting with the flowers she grew herself, and welcoming a baby boy in 2022.
At the end of 2024, the Bennett family received another surprise: they were moving to Germany! Amidst all these changes, Amy continues to pour her passion into her blog, with her favorite posts including Monday Home Designs, What I'm Wearing Wednesdays, and Friday Favorites!
