Our days never seem to slow down between work, school and family life. A date night was needed to help us set aside some quality time to reconnect as a couple. We had the opportunity to partner up with Datebox for a planned date night in. If you haven’t tried Datebox yet, they plan, prep and send you everything for your date. Everything is ready to go, all you have to do is open the box.
Datebox sent us a complimentary box for this blog post and some links may contain Affiliate Links. If you make a purchase through one of my links (at no additional cost to you), I may earn a small commission. Thank you so much for your support!
We opened our box and the theme was “Record Breaking Date”. We are super competitive and love challenging each other, so this was perfect for us.
Our first challenge was who could eat the most M&M’s while blindfolded with chopsticks. It was harder than you’d think!
This round went to me!
Next, we did the dice tower challenge. Who can stack the highest tower without it falling down in 30 seconds.
This round was a tie!
Our next challenge involved lots of balloons! See who could pop the most balloons in a set time. This was my favorite game of the evening. I don’t think I ever had so much fun popping balloons!
Quick kiss before the games begin!
Thomas was the clear winner of this round. Those muscles are not just for show!
This challenge was the hardest one yet! The bubble gum challenge is who can blow the biggest bubble. We tried with 3 pieces of gum each, because we are very competitive. It was quite the jaw workout for sure!
Thomas took this round too!
Eskimo kiss challenge, who can give the most Eskimo kisses in a set time.
This round goes to me!
Next, we did the cheek kiss challenge. Who can give the most cheek kisses in a set time.
Thomas won this round! The rest of the challenges (like who can remove their shirt the fastest is for our eyes only).
We loved the included conversation starters that allowed us time to open up and share together.
I am so glad we did this date night and got to reconnect with each other. Its hard to keep that spark alive when you feel you are just passing each other by between work, children and life in general. I want to make us more of a priority because you are the most important person in my life. Thank you for this date night in Datebox and thank you Thomas for loving me!
