How To Use A Color Palette In Your Home: Seaside Palette
Are you wondering how you can incorporate a little color into your room without painting the walls? Do you ever look at color palettes on Pinterest and long to have that same vibe in your home? I’m bringing different color palettes to life in my continued “How To Use A Color Palette In Your Home” blog series. I will show you how to create a beautiful room using different color palettes along with some fun pieces to help you bring these colors into your own home.
THE COLOR INSPIRATION: Blue & Warm Grey
For this palette, I choose a warm grey for the sofa and layered on two blue linen pillows and one floral patterned pillow in grey. I love this rug for its deep blue color, fringed detail and an interesting pattern that doesn’t feel too busy. This rug will pull the whole look together!
I hung textured white drapes to to enhance but not overwhelm the backdrop of the space. I choose a lighter wood coffee table that has a cane detail for additional texture and warmth. I used two matching ladder back wood accent chairs for additional seating. The ladder back detail is interesting to look at from all angles. Next to the sofa, I placed a faux eucalyptus tree and a faux fern on the coffee table to soften the space.
I hung two gold frame art pieces between the two windows for more interest. I flanked the sofa with two curved bookcase to break up all the hard lines in the room. I styled them with intentional pieces for a cohesive look. I believe every room needs plants, fresh flowers and/or greenery to add life to the space whether its faux or live!
