THE COLOR INSPIRATION: Amber & Charcoal

For this palette, I choose a leather sofa that has the perfect mix of a sleek frame and plush cushioning. This is such a timeless piece and really holds up to every day life.
To anchor the room and tone down some of the more vibrant colors I brought in, I used this neutral, wool rug. It’s hand-tufted then print dyed for high-definition pattern and great color gradation.
For additional seating, I brought in these two mid-century chairs in a grey fabric but you could certainly choose another fabric to suit your taste if you wanted to add more color here (like Dark Horseradish or Chili). The solid wood frame will showcases your fabric beautifully. I love the sculptural arms and the wide, welcoming seat. This chair is Contract Grade, meaning it's extra durable!
I brought in a sleek and comfortable recliner as well. I love the hidden steel push-back mechanism for a cleaner look. This chair has lots of fabric options and colors to choose from too!
For the coffee table, I choose this lavastone & iron nesting tables set. Lavastove is a luxe material that super durable too! The tables fit together seamlessly and can easily be pulled apart when extra surface space needed.
I added a few side tables in for additional surface area for books, drinks, etc…
To soften the space, I hung white curtains. The curtains will also add in some vertical lines and help break up all the linear lines that the sofa, console table and art bring in.
For additional storage, I used this slatted console table that adds great texture to the room. Games, extra blankets, toys, etc. can be stored out of sight here.
Above the Sofa, I choose this great art piece in amber and grey tones that really set the palette for the rest of the space.
I hung this interesting print of a collection of acorn caps above the console to really draw your eyes up. I like the way photography prints can convey certain stories, moods and feelings. The irresistible, dreamy quality found in nature’s diversity and the beauty of everyday objects is a source of endless inspiration.
I brought in a few different lighting options for this room. A large statement lamp for the console, a great arc floor lamp that gracefully swoops over the recliner and a smaller table lamp nest to the sofa.
For the accessories, I wanted to keep it pretty minimal so that each piece is highlighted. Simplicity is sometimes best!
