Our client's style is transitional and she already had some great pieces to work with. She wanted the space to feel approachable and usable, while still being able to make the room special for holidays.

- THE CONCEPT -

The concept for this space focused on a palette of blues, greys & brass accents. We kept the original dining table with its 6 chairs and the buffet in the design.

We softened the space with a coat of paint, which made the room feel bigger and brighter. The old rug was replaced with a more neutral option. Two new chairs were added at the ends to make the table feel more grand.

Our client wanted an overhead fixture that made a statement and she choose one of my favorites from West Elm. This fixture comes in different finishes too!

On the back wall we used two of the same art pieces, rotating one to make a bigger impact when you walk in.

We had some fun with the curtains, choosing one with a foil-printed motif and tassels for extra texture.

We flanked the cased opening with two snake plants to add a pop of color and freshness.

For the buffet styling, we hung a round mirror to help bounce the light from the windows around the room. My client splurged on these amazing marble lamps and huge planter and it makes all the difference!

Im obsessed with these candlesticks from Williams Sonoma! The brass finish adds warmth, while the curves add tons of movement and interest.

WE WILL BE SHARING THE ROCKLIN PROJECT MASTER BEDROOM PHOTO TOUR NEXT SO KEEP CHECKING BACK!
