HOW TO MAKE A SMALL BATHROOM FEEL BIGGER

We all have at least one room in our house that feels small. Chances are that space is your bathroom. Even if your square footage is on the smaller size, it doesn't mean you can't create a well designed space. This week we are sharing some of our favorite ways to make a small bathroom feel bigger.

1. Add Some Personality To Your Walls

We love using fun patterned wallpaper, unique tiles or some board & batten in small bathrooms. You can select higher end finishes without breaking the bank since the space has a small footprint. You can go pretty bold in your selection without fear of getting tired of the design because you don't spend a lot of time in these spaces.

2. Choosing The Right Vanity

Selecting the right vanity is key in small spaces. Usually small bathrooms lack storage so choose a vanity that is both functional and beautiful. We love to use vanities that mix open and closed storage for that open feel.

3. Unconventional Storage

When you have a smaller bathroom, you need to get creative with your storage. Add hooks on the wall for chic towel storage. Take advantage of your wall space by adding vertical storage. Use baskets for concealed storage to add lots of great texture and warmth to your bathroom.

4. Refresh Your Shower

Making these changes to your shower area can make your space look so much bigger. Adding niches will give your shower plenty of storage without adding bulk. Use a glass wall to separate the shower space without closing the room off, allowing all that natural light to pour in.

5. Simple Styling

Simple styling will take your bathroom to that designer level. Focus on spa-like details like lovely faux or live plants, pretty bottles for storing soaps & shampoos and unique stools to finish off your space.
