Coffee Table Makeover

We had this old table that really wasn't my style. Its mahogany/cherry stained, oval shaped with claw feet. It could have been pretty but the top wasn't in the best  shape. I decided to give it some new life.

First I sanded down the top. I was just trying to take the finish off so the paint could better adhere.

I did the same on the edges and legs. Then I added the first and second coat of paint. I just used some Sherwin Williams paint in Creamy that I had around.

Already I am loving the way the table looks white. One or two more coats should make this pretty lady shine.

I love how this table turned out. I may go back and add some distressing to it. It's too bad the table is too big for our sectional, I'd kinda like to keep it.

Happy DIYing!!!
